MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 23, 1988 <br />•PUBLIC COMMENTS CONTINUED <br />be brought to Council on June 13th, if staff has <br />the title opinion and the mylars. <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />$1222 JAN WAYE <br />1885 CONCORDIA STREET <br />AFTER THE FACT CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #2433 <br />Applicant Phyllis Waye was present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated this <br />application is an after - the -fact conditional use <br />permit for installation of various items to retain <br />a fairly steep bank after the July 23rd storm. The <br />restoration consists mainly of large boulders set <br />into the landscape plus rip -rap. <br />Mrs. Waye requested that the completion date be <br />changed due to the fact that some of the materials <br />are not available at this time and because of the <br />complexity of the work. <br />• It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Mayor Grabek to adopt Resolution #2433 amending <br />Item #7 to read, resotration shall be completed by <br />a date to be determined by staff. Motion, Ayes 5, <br />Nays 0. <br />#1129 TODD WATERS <br />3861 CASCO POINT ROAD <br />REQUEST TO AMEND COUNCIL DIRECTIVE <br />OF RESOLUTION #2292 / <br />Mr. Waters was present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated this is a <br />request by Mr. Waters to erect a retaining wall to <br />maintain a walkout without having to go back and <br />raise the house and redo the basement wall in order <br />to eliminate the walkout. The retaining wall would <br />be out from the foundation wall 8 feet and out as <br />far as the original house line. This was tabled at <br />the last Council meeting on a 4-1 vote. Related to <br />this matter is Item #14 on tonight's agenda, which <br />is the feasibility report of the storm water <br />pondi.ng. There were three options presented by <br />Engineer Cook. The first option was the re- <br />installation of the current 8 inch pipe. This <br />would necessitate an overflow put in across an <br />• abutting property owners yard. Option 2 is the <br />installation of 10 inch pipe, the overflow could be <br />put in, but it was not mandatory. Option 3 is the <br />installation of an 18 inch pipe, which would <br />necessitate no overflow. <br />7 <br />
