Mr. Schauer stated the neighboring <br />property was a detriment to his property and felt a further <br />reduction was in order. Stewart Perry, 2975 Casco Point Road - PID 20- 117 -23 31 0045 <br />Assessor recommends, a -change in the 1988 market value from <br />$286,900 to $277,400. Mr. Perry stated that there are serious <br />problems with the house in both the basement and roof areas and <br />felt that the Assessor had not taken this into consideration in <br />his valuations. In addition he stated the house was listed on <br />the market for $269,000. It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded <br />by'Councilmember Sime to accept the Assessor's 1988 market value <br />of $277,400. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />4. Kathy Sawicki, 4510 North Shore Drive - PID 07- 117 -23 31 0029 <br />Mrs. Sawicki felt that although they paid $335,000 for it in <br />1987, the property had been misrepresented as to the quality of <br />the lakeshore and that it should be reduced. The Assessor <br />recommended no change in the 1988 market value of $303,200. It <br />was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember Sime to <br />• accept the Assessor's 1988 market value of $303,200. Motion, <br />Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />5. Newell Weed, 1385 Orono Lane - PID 02- 117 -23 34 0003 <br />The Assessor has recommended no change in the 1988 market value <br />of $404,800 stating this property has been depreciated as much as <br />possible. It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten to accept the Assessor's 1988 market value <br />of $404,800. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />6. J. P. Henry, 4750 North Shore Drive - PID 07- 117 -23 32 0017 <br />The Assessor has reviewed the property and recommended a change <br />in the 1988 market value from $94,700 to a 1988 market value of <br />$92,200. Mr. Henry stated that his property had sustained severe <br />damage during the July 23, 1988 storm because his neighbor <br />installed a parking lot which causes water to be directed onto <br />his property. He stated he had an estimate of a minimum of <br />$20,000 to restore his property. Mayor Grabek directed the <br />Administrator Bernhardson to review Mr. Henry's case with City <br />staff. It was Moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Sime to reduce the 1988 market value to the 1987 market value of <br />$86,400 because of the damage sustained to this property and <br />direct staff to report to Council on Mr. Henry's situation. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />7. Jane Slaughter, 4545 Wayzata Blvd - PID 30- 118 -23 31 0005 <br />• The Assessor has recommended no change in the 1988 market value <br />of $131,900. Mrs. Slaughter stated that no one took into <br />consideration during the valuation the fact that this property is <br />land locked.
