MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 11, 1988 <br />IV OR'S REPORT: <br />1988 APPOINTMENTS <br />RESOLUTION #2348 <br />Mayor Grabek explained the issue of adopting a <br />resolution for 1988 Appointments. <br />Councilmember Sime recommended delaying the appointments <br />of the Park Commission, Planning Commission, and West <br />Hennepin Human Services Planning in order to review <br />the current members input on the commissions. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson recommended approving the <br />Planning Commission term extension to March 31st from <br />the previous. December 31st for all terms. <br />Council amended the appointments to the Cable TV <br />Committee as follows: <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Tim Adams <br />Councilmember Goetten (Alternate) <br />Council added the appointment of Councilmember Callahan <br />as Acting Mayor. <br />• It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Callahan, to adopt Resolution #2348 approving the 1988 <br />Appointments as amended (excluding the West Hennepin <br />Human Services Planning and Park Commission); and <br />approve the Planning Commission term extension to March <br />31st of the respective years. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Based on his background, Charles Kelley questioned how <br />the City chose its Official Depositories and guaranteed <br />their stability? <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated he would provide <br />this �infomation to Mr. Kelley and Council as requested. <br />LMCD EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT - STATUS <br />Mayor Grabek noted that there seemed to be problems with <br />progressing towards replacing the LMCD Executive <br />Director. He would like input on this from LMCD <br />Representive Hurr. <br />40 <br />9 <br />
