MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 14, 1987 <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />HAZARDOUS BUILDING PROCEEDING - <br />100 STUBBS BAY ROAD <br />RESOLUTIONS #2314, #2315, & #2316 <br />City of Orono Building Inspector Thomas Jacobs was <br />present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained staff's new <br />procedure for handling hazardous building proceedings. <br />Following this new procedure, staff recommends adoption <br />of resolutions as they relate to hazardous building <br />proceedings at 100 Stubbs Bay Road. He noted that this <br />property is proposing a subdivision which will be <br />presented to the Planning Commission at their December <br />19, 1987 meeting, however, staff recommends commencing <br />the hazardous building action in case the subdivision <br />proposal is stalled and buildings are removed in a <br />timely fashion. <br />It wars noted that the owner of this property was not <br />present for this matter. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Sime, to adopt the following Resolutions ordering <br />abatement of hazardous building action at 100 Stubbs Bay <br />Road South: , <br />Resolution #2314 - Garage /Outhouse Buildings <br />Resolution #2315 - Barn <br />Resolution #2316 - House /Principal Structure <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />1987/1988 COMPENSATION PLAN ADOPTION <br />RESOLUTION #2326 <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the issues of <br />the proposed 1987 compensation adjustments in light of <br />the internal equity study and approval of the 1988 <br />compensation adjustments. He stated he hopes to <br />finalize any further internal equity study adjustments <br />within the next two months. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson, to adopt Resolution #2326 which adjusts <br />selected 1987 wages and makes initial adjustments for <br />1988 based on the 1987 wage adjustments together with <br />the 3% budgeted cost of living adjustments for all <br />persons not represented by bargaining unit.
