MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD APRIL 27, 1987 <br />LMCD REPORT CONTINUED <br />Hurr noted that the Gayle's Marina de -icing permit was <br />denied in addition to their 1987 License being denied <br />until compliance is met. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Mayor Grabek asked if the LMCD has done anything to get <br />respresentation on the Minnehaha Creek Watershed <br />District. <br />Hurr stated that the individual cities should submit <br />letters of support for MCWD representation. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated he would be <br />attending the upcoming MCWD meeting on the Draft Storm <br />Water Management Plan. <br />Curt Quady asked if the LMCD was doing anything to limit <br />the boat size and motor size allowed on the lake. <br />Hurr stated that boat size has been limited to 65' and <br />there has been discussion on limiting motor size however <br />the majority are against limiting motor size. <br />Jane Slaughter, 4545 Wayzata Boulevard, was present to <br />update the Council on the problem of their property <br />being "landlocked ". All attempts to obtaining another <br />easement location have been unsuccessful. They have <br />since taken their abstract to another title company, <br />however expect the same response. She will notify City <br />Attorney Barrett of these events. <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN #2 — HIGHWAY 12 <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained that at the <br />March 30th Council meeting, Council reviewed all the <br />areas within the corridor regarding the proposed changes <br />in the comprehensive plan amendment except for the Sid <br />Reber's property (Area #4). Present at this meeting are <br />Sid Rebers, his attorney Steve Pflaum, and his engineer <br />Ted Kemna. Secondly, there may be persons present who <br />want to further discuss the inclusion of the northeast <br />corner of Area #3 within the Metropolitan Urban Service <br />Area (MUSA) Line on developement issues of feasibility <br />and economics. Thirdly, subsequent to the last meeting <br />staff met with Long Lake's Mayor and City Attorney to <br />begin discussions related to sewer, water, streets, etc. <br />Long Lake has indicated that they would be desirous of <br />annexing certain property within the corridor, which <br />staff informed them that it should be formally <br />requested.
