MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 30, 1987 <br />#1114 BRACKEN CONTINUED <br />not necessary, however if any additional land alteration <br />takes place on this property, a conditional use permit <br />would be required and a replacement easement can be <br />acquired at that time. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, to approve the vacation petition of <br />William Bracken for the vacation of a 10 feet wide <br />drainage and utility easement along the shared lot line <br />of Lots 16 and 17, Block 1, the Farm at Long Lake, <br />finding the easement not currently occupied with utility <br />lines, not a drainageway and finding no future public <br />purpose which the easement area in its present location; <br />and finding no need to acquire additional drainage and <br />utility easements along the 623 feet of the southern lot <br />line. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />RICHARD RAGATZ <br />1945 CONCORDIA STREET <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #2154 <br />Mr. Ragatz was present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />2' side setback, 2' street setback, and hardcover <br />variances to construct a 2 -car detached garage <br />(replacing a small shed structure that abuts both lot <br />lines) and a future addition to residence. Planning <br />Commission recommended that the required 10' street lot <br />line setback be maintained; 5' side lot line <br />setback; and maximum 75 -250' hardcover of 27% allowed. <br />Councilmember Goetten asked if the new garage would have <br />a firewall on the north side lot line; and if the garage <br />conformed with the fire hydrant setback. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron stated that he <br />would have to check with the Building Official regarding <br />a required firewall; and the new garage does meet the <br />fire hydrant setback. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by Mayor <br />Grabek, to adopt Resolution #2154 granting the variances <br />per Planning Commission's recommendation. Motion, Ayes <br />5, Nays 0. <br />#1121 KENNETH ZULLO <br />3160 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #2155 <br />Ken and Jaye Ann Zullo were present for this matter. <br />7 <br />
