MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 30, 1987 <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN #2 <br />Area 5 - Northeast corner of Hwy. 12 east of Willow <br />(owned by Mr. Ringer). <br />Staff recommendation - Inclusion in MUSA line. <br />Frontage road through property. Commercial <br />abutting Hwy.12, non - single family north side <br />of frontage road with appropriate buffering back <br />to the Ringerswood area. <br />Planning Commission recommendation - same as <br />staff's. <br />Joe Reis, 720 Dickey Lake Dr., asked what <br />"appropriate buffering" consisted of. He also <br />asked about the zoning of the existing two <br />residential lots south of Dickey Lake Dr. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated it has not <br />yet been defined, it would be based on the type <br />of development. It could be landscaping, <br />berming, certain distances, etc. Regarding the <br />two residential lots, they are proposed to stay <br />residential, not necessarily single - family; and <br />are included in the MUSA line. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson briefly discussed the <br />bike and walking paths proposed which would be <br />reviewed by the Park Commission. <br />There were no other comments from the public. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated staff would meet <br />with representatives from Long Lake and Medina prior to <br />the April 27th meeting, and subsequently" the Council's <br />will meet. <br />The Orono City Council accepted the information <br />regarding Comprehensive Plan Amendment and discussion to <br />be continued to the April 27, 1987 meeting for a <br />possible preliminary approval. <br />#1114 WILLIAM M. BRACKEN <br />1770 WEST FARM ROAD <br />VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS <br />RESOLUTION #2153 <br />Regarding this application, Councilmember Callahan asked <br />if the City had a policy in general of taking drainage <br />and utility easements along property lines. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that it has been <br />typical of the City to request these easements, and if <br />vacated a replacement easement is requested. Staff <br />feels in this particular case, a replacement easement is <br />1.1 <br />
