Both areas are intended to be <br /> used for outdoor storage. Atop the 7 foot fence,the applicants <br /> propose to install 1' of barbed wire angled to the interior of the <br /> property. <br /> Note that existing fencing along the eastern border is only 6' tall, but <br /> it is already screened via a mixture of trees, bushes and other <br /> vegetation. Staff's preference is to have the applicants retain the <br /> existing 6' tall fence in this area supplemented with the desired <br /> barbed wire. Using the existing fence would ensure the current <br /> screening to the east for the outdoor storage is not disturbed. If the <br /> applicants insist on needing the addition 1' of fence height, staff <br /> would recommend as a condition that a planting plan be approved by <br /> . engineering for the eastern boundary as is proposed along the <br /> � � southern boundary. To screen outdoor storage from the north,the <br /> applicants will be expected to utilize slats or another screening <br /> � mechanism along with the proposed fencing.
