� MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday,August 15,2011 <br /> 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> Levang reported that at the July 25th Council meeting the Whipple application was placed on consent. <br /> The Ryan application was also discussed and approved. <br /> Leskinen reported at the August 8�'meeting the Ryan application and other planning items were all placed <br /> on the Consent Agenda. Some discussion was had with regard to the variance at Shadywood with a <br /> concem being expressed for the larger size garage and the creeping up of larger structures. The <br /> application ultimately was approved unanimously. <br /> Landgraver�asked whether the City Council provided any guidance on that issue.Landgraver noted the <br /> Planning Commission discussed another application this evening that increased the size of the garage. <br /> Schoenzeit noted no hazdcover was being added. . <br /> Leskinen stated it was not the same type of issue since they were adding hardcover that was allowable. <br /> The Shadywood application was a small lot. <br /> Curtis indicated it was also a structural coverage. <br /> Gaffron stated City Code does not require interior parking in a garage but it does require the property <br /> owner provide parking on their property. <br /> Levang asked how the Plann.i.ng Commission can stop that from happening. <br /> Gaffron stated some of the regulations would need to be changed on how Staff deals with an interior <br /> addition. Gaffron noted the City did not have a hardcover ordinance unti11975. <br /> 9. OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION � <br /> None <br /> 10.
