REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING CITY <br /> COiTNC�MEETINGS ON JLTNE 28,2010,AND JULY 12,2010 <br /> Kang reported on the June 28`�'City Council meeting and noted there was a brief discussion regarding <br /> Long Lake's water capacity as well as a discussion on possible street and utility improvements. The City <br /> Council looked at which roads should be prioritized and the possible funding of the proj ects. � <br /> Kang stated at the July 12`�'City Council meeting there was a presentation by the Orono Youth in Action <br /> on banning smoking in the city parks and a presentation by the city auditors. The Welsh Companies <br /> assisted living application was approved. <br /> 8. OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Kang stated at the City Council work session,there was a discussion regarding the Supreme Court ruling. <br /> Staff sent out an e-mail to the commissioners on the Supreme Court ruling. <br /> . Curtis stated a number of cities are reviewing their codes in light of the ruling but that basically the MN <br /> Legislature will need to respond and change the hardship language.
