there is not further chance for soil or debris erosion. For the Southeast entrance, parking
area silt fence shall be staked all along the site perimeter as shown on plans and
constructed as per details.
Any area being disturbed for new building or pavement construction and that drains into
any existing catch basin onsite or on the adjacent streets shall have a retainer basket
placed in the catch basin to trap any soil washed off from reaching the storm sewer
system. .
No parking will be permitted on public streets and the contractor will be required to park
or store all equipment on the site where directed by the architect or engineer. The
contractor shall also store his equipment to prevent oil spillage on the site. The
contractor shall maintain secure storage for all hazardous materials, including gasoline
oils, solvents to provide limited access.and prevent spillage of any such materials on the
site. This can be provided by storing in the contractor's storage building. . Everything
shall be removed at the completion of the project.
After completion of the project, the owner shall store all hazardous material inside the
building and perform all maintenance activities inside.
Because of the development already on the site, the contractor shall provide a leak proof
watertight container to be used for concrete truck washout and removed at completion of
the project. No other truck washing is permitted on the site.
The contractor shall maintain a dumpster onsite to receive all solid waste.
If the contractor is planning to stockpile dirt on site, he shall construct a silt fence on
three sides of the stockpile to prevent the dirt from eroding onto the general site. The
fence is to be constructed before the stockpiling is begun. The open side shall be the
side with the highest elevation and further built up to prevent washout.
The existirig parking area makes it unlikely that there will be any carryout of soils by
trucks leaving the site. However, to insure it does not occur the contractor shall make
provisions for sweeping the lots as•needed to prevent any carryout of debris.
INSPECTIONS REQUIRED DURING CONSTRUCTION.
The contractor personnel identified shall be responsible for carrying out the required
inspection and maintaining the proper records of inspections. The records are to be kept
on the site.
The required inspections are as follows:
The inspector will check all pollution prevention devices at least every week and
within 24 hours after each rainfall exceeding 0.5" in 24 hours. At the same time
he will check for any erosion of unprotected areas.
Each inspection should be recorded with the record showing:
The date and time of the inspection
Name of person doing inspection
Date and time of rainfall events exceeding 0.5"/24hr.
Finding of inspections and recommendations for repairing, modifying or replacing
failing BMP's. -
0
 JUN 3 0 2Q10
CtTY OF ORONO
