Most of these issues you
raised are added or changed in the revised drawings submitted by Dennis Batty and
Associates.
However, I need to comment on some of the items.
By moving the retaining wall to the property line, shallow pond no longer made any
sense. Therefore, a new small holding pond is added along the south edge of the property.
The SWMP and SWPPP explain the logic and design of this pond. The existing fence
along the southeast edge of the parlcing lot encroaches on this property, however, the City
has asked that this fence be left in place and the trees behind it protected. The owner has
agreed to do this. Therefore, very little space is available for the holding pond.
Also the slope that you said was excessive is beyond the fence and tree covered. This is
where the City asked that it not be disturbed. Therefore, it will remain as is.
You pointed out that a portion of the South parking drains overland through the KAHO
property, and the City should consider requiring storm sewer to bring this water to Kelly
Ave and then construct additional storm sewer to convey the water to Lalce Minnetonlca.
This water now drains into a wooded area that shows no signs of erosion even though the
drainage has been going on since tlie center was built.
