MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 27, 1986 <br />#999 BELDEN /MELINE continued <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Grabek, to table this matter until the <br />June 23, 1986 Council meeting. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />#1010 DUANE HALL <br />1860 SHADYWOOD ROAD <br />PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION - <br />DENIAL RESOLUTION <br />Because Duane Hall was not present, Zoning Administrator <br />Mabusth recommended that this matter be tabled. She <br />also recommended that Mr. Hall be advised to seek legal <br />counsel. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Grabek, seconded by Mayor <br />Butler, to table this matter until the June 23, 1986 <br />Council meeting and direct staff to advise applicant to <br />seek legal counsel for this reveiw. Motion, Ayes 5, <br />Nays 0. <br />#1011 EXCELSIOR BAY YACHT CLUB* <br />DEERING ISLAND <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCE <br />Upon staff recommendation, it was moved by Councilmember <br />Frahm, seconded by Councilmember Hammerel, to table this <br />matter until the June 9, 1986 Council meeting. Motion, <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />ZONING AMENDMENT <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth reviewed with the Council <br />the proposed Zoning Amendment changes. Some of the <br />items discussed were: <br />a) Not allowing fences within 75' of the lakeshore <br />on lots divided by a major thoroughfare. <br />b) Major change proposed would not allow 3 -1/2 foot <br />fences within 75 feet of the lake with the exception <br />of lockboxes. <br />c) Stockpiling - regulate by 1) not allowing more <br />than 10% of fill to be stockpiled OR 2 ) amount to be <br />allowed based on foundation footprint size. Staff <br />to review and determine. <br />d) Berms - definition and controls. <br />e) Mean height should be addressed. <br />Staff to revise the proposed Zoning Amendment to reflect <br />Council's concerns and bring the amendment back for <br />Council review at their June 23rd meeting. <br />2 <br />
