MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 13, 1986 <br />#992 CITY OF ORONO <br />COUNTY ROAD 15 AT SPATES AVENUE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #1906 <br />On behalf of George Rovegno, the property owner abutting <br />the access to the south, City Administrator Bernhardson <br />indicated to the Council that Mr. Rovegno considers the <br />access a public nuisance in that he continues to have <br />problems with trespassing and litter and other debris <br />being deposited on his property. City Administrator <br />Bernhardson indicated that staff would review the <br />situation to see what could be done to address the <br />concerns but staff recommended the upgrade to improve <br />the access safety. <br />It was moved <br />Councilmember <br />approving the <br />of the Spates <br />0. <br />#995 JOE DURDA /JOAN ANTHONY <br />3115 -3135 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />RESOLUTION #1907 <br />by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Hammerel, to adopt Resolution #1906 <br />conditional use permit for the alteration <br />Avenue Lake Access. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />a joint conditional use permit to repair a seawall and <br />permit the removal of some trees within the 0 -751. He <br />noted that they are currently dredging in the lagoon and <br />have obtained the necessary permits required. <br />Representing the applicants' was Clifford Reep and <br />stated that applicants' are aware of staff's recommended <br />conditions. <br />It was moved by Acting Mayor Adams, seconded by <br />Councilmember Frahm, to adopt Resolution #1907 approving <br />the conditional use permit as presented. Motion, Ayes <br />4, Nays 0. <br />#996 JAMES MCNAUGHTON <br />1800 SHADYWOOD ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION #1908 <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />a variance to allow 36.4% hardcover in the 75 -250' zone <br />(rather than the 25% allowed) to pave driveway and <br />backup apron. He noted that when the house was built <br />a year ago the plan proposed construction of "grass <br />paver" or a "strip" driveway in order to meet the <br />hardcover requirements. He stated that applicant now <br />claims that the proposed type of driveway would not be <br />4 <br />
