Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 to <br /> permit the construction of room additions to the existing residence, <br /> such additions constituting hardcover in the 75-250' lakeshore setback <br /> zone in excess of the 25$ hardcover normal Yy al.�.owed, and a variance <br /> � to Section 10.23, Subdivision 6 (B) to a1.1.ow construction of an <br /> entryway addition located 25' from the side I.ot line where a 30' side <br /> setback is normaXly required. <br /> 1 <br /> NOW, THEREFOR$, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> l. This application was reviewed as Zoning Fi1:e #1594. <br /> 2. The property is I.ocated in the LR-lA Singl.e Famil.y Lakeshore <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono P1.anning Commission reviewed this appl.ication on <br /> October 15, 1990 and recommended approval. of the proposed <br /> variances based upon the folxowing findings: . <br /> a) The orient�tion of the neighboring residence to the east <br /> is such that the proposed 25' side setback f or the entry <br /> wi�. l not tend to increase the visual density of tha <br /> neighborhood nor wiZl it have significant effect on the <br /> neighboring property. <br /> b) AXthough hardcover on the property a�.ready exceeds the <br /> 25$ limitation, appXicants have demonstrated that they can <br /> • easil.y remove equivalent amounts of hardcover in the 75-250! <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
