Johnston stated he would ultimately like the Planning � � <br /> Conunission to make a recommendation on their application and then have it proceed to the City Council. <br /> Kenlpf stated he did hear fiom the City Council that they have a concern with the amount of vacancy in <br /> the available retail space in Long Lake currently and that in his opinion these two tenants are not typical <br /> tenants of a strip mall. � . <br /> Zullo conunented the proposed businesses for fihis site would hel�to draw other businesses to the City. <br /> Kang stated she is supportive of some type of retail for this site. <br /> Kempf pointed out this site is located next to a high-density area and that the residents of that area were ' <br /> expecting and desirous of some retail in this area. , <br /> Gaffron stated absent the requirement for a phai7liacy, a bank and a food co-op would generally fit into . <br /> the current zoning for this area but would not fit into the zoning for the B-6 district specifically. <br /> � .Rahn noted•the city attoiYiey has recoirunended that the guiding for this site and the zoning for the site be <br /> compatible with one another. � <br /> Zullo stated tlus�roperty has been in this state for a while and that the City does not need to Ue in a rush � <br /> to change the zoning. � � <br /> Zullo moved,Kempf seconded,to t�ble Applicatiot�#06-3249, City of Orono,Outlot A,Stonebay, <br /> CMP Amendment,to the March Planning Commission �neeting to allow for further consideration <br /> of the proposal by Reliance.
