• <br />ROLL <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, December 13, 2004 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />The Council met on the above - mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor Barbara <br />Peterson; Council Members Jim White, Jim Murphy, Lili McMillan, and Bob Sansevere; Representing <br />Staff were City Attorney Thomas Barrett, City Administrator Ron Moorse, Planning Director Mike <br />Gaffron, Planners Janice Gundlach and Melanie Curtis, Public Service Director Greg Gappa, Engineer <br />Tom Kellogg and Recorder Jackie Young. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />Mayor Peterson administered the oath of office to Officer Kimberly Toewe, Officer Chad Stensrud, <br />and Sergeant Chris Fischer. <br />RECOGNITION <br />2. ANDREW MCDERMOTT — PARKS, OPEN SPACE AND TRAILS COMMISSION — <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5262 <br />Mayor Peterson, on behalf of the City of Orono, presented Andrew McDermott a plaque in recognition of <br />• his nine years of service to the City on the Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission. <br />White highlighted some of the accomplishments of the Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission during <br />the time McDermott served as its chair. <br />• <br />Adoption of the resolution follows Item #13. <br />2A. SAM AND JOYCE MARFIELD - RECOGNITION — RESOLUTION NO. 5263 <br />Mayor Peterson, on behalf of the City of Orono, presented a plaque to Sam and Joyce Marfield in <br />recognition of their donation of a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a custom -built fire /rescue boat to the <br />Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department. <br />Adoption of the resolution follows Item #13. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />APPROVE /AMEND <br />Items 8, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 25, 26, 27, 31, 32, and 33 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Item 3 was removed from the Consent Agenda. <br />Murphy moved, White seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended.
