At that time all that was being indicated was that <br /> the Planning Commission would look favorably on vacating the alley. There is a formal process <br /> that must be followed, similar to the variance process, to actually complete the vacation: <br /> 1. Submit an application consisting of: <br /> a. Completed application form (enclosed). This form must be signed by the majority <br /> of property owners who abut the axea to be vacated. As an alternative you could <br /> submit consent letters from these property owners. You would need signatures of <br /> the owner of three of the following properties: <br /> • 2705 Ethel Avenue - yourself <br /> • 279� Ethel Avenue - G. Gordon Amundson <br /> • 2700 Casco Point Road - Daniel Buesing or Linda Running <br /> • 2684/2686 Casco Point Road (Two parcels but counts only once because they <br /> are in the same ownership.)-D. L. Runkle or L. F. Runkle <br /> b. A legal description of the area to be vacated. Usually this comes from a surveyor. <br /> c. Processing fee of$700. <br /> d. Certified property owners list. Directions for obtaining this list are highlighted on the <br /> back of the application form. <br /> 2. Post the sibn you will be given at the time of application. <br /> 3. City Staff will contact utility companies and City Engineer to obtain consent to the vacation. <br /> Utility companies or City Engineer may request a utility easement over all or part of the <br /> alley.
