In my opinion, if the city had completed the ditch work in a timely fashion (beginning of July—
after closing) there would be no sediment issue at all. Honestly, I've been waiting for the city to
complete the ditch work and assumed we were on the schedule for the beginning of July based
on our discussion, but obviously that hasn't happened.
I can remove the logs and silt fence myself, but I believe that the city should do the rest of the
ditch work, including cleanup of the channel area, as originally discussed and at no charge to
me.
Please let me kn;,v vs,he^ th;s vorlc car be cmp!eted this veek.
Thanks,
Matt
Matt Fritz
Exec Consulting Inc.
612.802.6053
From: bubizi.bultr-niznk.i
To: khem'cicornzrstoneccinc.com; ICurtisaci.orono.mn.us; Joe asolidaroundhomes.corn;
rlattfritz?1hotmail.com
CC: SOberai,nera ci.orono.mn.us; permittinJ i minnehahacreek.or
Subject: RE: 4055 Elm St - erosion control fence
Date: Thu, 7 Aug 2014 19:30:16 +0000
Kelly,
Yes, please remove the siltfence and logs. The sediment adjacent to Elm Street can be graded
into the right-of-way by the City when the catchbasins are lowered and erosion control blanket is
installed. However, the sediment in the downstream channel (on the west side of the property)
must be removed and the channel restored. Please let us know when this work will be completed
so Scott can coordinate completion of the City's work.
Thanks,
Robert E.
