Top of concrete block foundation wall to be at elevation to allow 8" square <br /> precast colored concrete block base to protrude 3" above finish grade (see <br /> colored concrete, #40); anchor to foundation w/ extended vertical reinf. <br /> bar; provide threaded rod from kwik bolt receptor in precast block to <br /> connect to Simpson AB66 (6") post base. #4A - Adjust top of concrete <br /> block wall heights to allow patio slab to bear on 6" CMU & top of concrete <br /> stairs to bear on portion of 12" foundation wall. #4B - Bear base of stair & <br /> landing on 8" foundation walls; #4C - Step in intermediate wall, provide <br /> 4" top course to provide bearing for stair & concrete landing. <br /> 5. Provide new rim joist for direct bearing support for new LPI floor joists; <br /> provide 2 - 2x12's anchored to existing foundation walls w/ 3/4" sleeve <br /> anchors at 12" o.c. Backfill elsewhere against foundations to be <br /> compacted to 90% of Standard Proctor Density (ASTM 698). Place in loose <br /> lifts not exceeding 12" & compacted w/ manually operated vibrating plate <br /> compactors. <br /> 10. 4" concrete slab on grade, reinforce w/ 6x6 10/10 WWM or #4's @ 18" o.c. <br /> bottom, each way. Provide control joints as shown or required, joints to <br /> be separated deep enough to control cracking, use 1/4" radius trowel, at <br /> decorative slab work. Provide expansion joints as shown or required. <br /> #10A - Concrete step(s), reinforce w/ #4's @ 12" o.c. bottom, each way. <br /> #10B - 4" concrete slab hearth, span across chimney foundation walls & <br /> cantilever under brick hearth above; reinforce w/ #4's @ 12" o.c. each way. <br /> 11. Use galvanized joist hangers and/or beam connector/hanger as required. <br /> #11A - Beam-to-face of post connector. #11B - Beam-at-top of post <br /> connector. #11C - Beam-to-face of beam or rim joist hanger; rim joist to be <br /> securely anchored. #11D - Provide special connector welded to steel beam <br /> to carry LVL beam at post location. #11E - Provide lateral solid blocking <br /> between floor joists at point of bearing, typical. #11F - Provide solid <br /> blocking below posts to bearing points, typical. <br /> 12. 2x(joist size) (treated at exterior decks) rim member, anchor w/ 2- 5/8" e� <br /> diameter bolt or slee��e anchor top & bottom, @ 24" o.c., grouted solid in <br /> 7 <br />
