The home site slopes from the front portion of the lot to the exterior where there is a considerable grade change. A limited amount of landscaping surrounded the home. A deck is attached to the rear of the home. 2.3 Subsurface Conditions The subsurface conditions encountered at the test boring locations are shown on the test boring logs. The boring logs also indicate the possible geologic origin of the materials encountered. We wish to point out that the subsurface conditions at other times and locations on the site may differ from those found at our test locations. If different conditions are encountered during construction, it is necessary that you contact us so that our recommendations can be reviewed. The borings indicated a generalized soil profile consisting of fill at the surface underlain by glacial till. The fill included a thin topsoil layer at the surface underlain by clayey sand or lean clay with a little gravel. Pieces of wood and bituminous were encountered within the fill of borings B3 and B4. Minor organic inclusions were encountered within portions of the fill. The fill extended to depths ranging from 6' to 10'/2' below the surFace of the borings. The fill soil was very soft to soft based on the penetration values (N-value) obtained during drilling. Topsoil comprised mainly of organic lean clay was encountered beneath the fill of borings B1 and B2. This agreement shall be governed exclusively by the general terms and conditions of sale and performance of testing services by Stork Twin City Testing,Inc.a North Carolina business corporation("TCT")dd.02/04/2001. In no event shall Stork Twin City Testing,Inc.be liable for any consequential,special or indirect loss or any damages above the cost of the work. Payment is due within 30 days of invoice.
