A site plan showing the approximate boring locations.
c. Written description of encountered soil and groundwater conditions.
d. A discussion as to the suitability of the soils encountered by our borings to
support the proposed addition.
The scope of our work is intended for geotechnical purposes only. This scope is not
intended to explore for the presence or extent of environmental contamination at the
site.
2.0 FIELD TESTING PROGRAM
2.1 Soil Borings
A total of four (4) soil test borings were drilled on the site on July 8, 2009. The
approximate boring locations are shown on the attached site plan. The planned
locations and number of test borings was determined through discussions between
James L. Patsch Construction and Stork Twin City Testing. Our drill crew elevated the
borings using elevations shown on the lot survey.
The standard penetration borings were performed with an all terrain mounted rotary drill
rig using split-barrel sampling procedures. Water level observations were made in the
boreholes during and upon completion of the drilling and sampling operations. During
the field operations, the drill crew maintained logs of the subsurface conditions including
changes in stratigraphy and the observed groundwater levels. The boring logs are
attached.
After completion of the drilling operations, the boreholes were backfilled with auger
cuttings and bentonite chips to the existing surface.
This agreement shall be governed exclusively by the general terms and conditions of sale and performance of testing services by Stork Twin City
Testing,Inc.a North Carolina business corporation("TCT")dd.02/04/2001.
