A site inspection found the garage roof has collapsed in one
area and the entire building is leaning severely and is in danger of collapse. The house
foundation is cracked and failing and the roof is caving in in separate areas. The boat house
foundation is also failing.
This letter is to require you to repair or remove the structures. Your options are to repair the
structures to meet current code or to have the buildings demolished and removed from the site.
If you wish you could sign an agreement with the city, the city would remove the structures and
the cost would be assessed against the real estate and be paid in not to exceed 5 equal annual
installments with interest thereon at eight percent per annum.
Unless corrective action is taken before June 15, 2010, the city will seek a motion for summary
enforcement of the order in Hennepin District Court. If you have any questions please feel free
to contact me at my office.
Sincerely,
 Q2.

Lyle Oman
Orono Building Official
Telephone(92)249-4600 • Fax(952)249-4616
www.ci.orono.mn.us
