MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />Monday, January 28, 2002 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />( #12 — Liquor Violations, O'Sullivans, Continued) <br />O'Sullivan's. <br />Officer Erickson stated O'Sullivan's consider this employee to be a good employee and has not <br />terminated her employment. Erickson stated the employee was charged with a gross misdemeanor, which <br />was subsequently reduced to a misdemeanor by the City Attorney. <br />Mayor Peterson inquired whether this was an ongoing program for the Police Department. <br />Officer Erickson stated they are planning to do it again this summer, with a training session being <br />available for the merchants. <br />Moorse stated prior to the compliance checks, each business was given the opportunity to participate in a <br />training program and was informed that there would be compliance checks. Moorse stated overall there <br />were 10 violations, with O'Sullivans being the only one located in Orono. <br />Sansevere moved, White seconded, to impose a $500 penalty on O'Sullivan's regarding the liquor <br />violation. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*( #13) PAY EQUITY REPORT <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve the City's Pay Equity Report. • <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*( #14) AMENDMENT TO PERSONNEL POLICY — COMPENSATION FOR EVENINGS <br />MEETINGS <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve the revision to the Administrative and Personnel <br />Policies to provide compensation to overtime exempt employees for attendance at evening <br />meetings. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*( #15) CITY ADMINISTRATOR SALARY ADJUSTMENT <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve a 3.75 percent increase of the City Administrator <br />effective September 1, 2001. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*( #16) DECLARATION OF REIMBURSEMENT INTENT FOR POLICE VEHICLE COSTS — <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4752 <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4752, a Resolution <br />Declaring Intent to Reimburse Police Vehicle Costs with Equipment Certificate Proceeds. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PAGE 6 <br />
