5522336 <br /> City of ORONO <br /> �- w=• RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> NO. 2589 <br /> A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br /> VARIANCES TO <br /> MUNICIPAL BONING CODE <br /> SECTION 10.23, SUBDIVISION 6 (B <br /> FILE NO. 1371 <br /> WHEREAS, Robert Minkema (hereinafter "the applicant") is the <br /> owner of the property located at 3200 Bayside Road within the City of <br /> Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 14, Auditors Subdivision #203, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City of Orono for a <br /> -variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.23, Subdivision 6 (B) to <br /> permit the construction of additions to his existing residence, which <br /> additions will be located less than the required 50' setback from the front <br /> street lot line and less than the required 50' setback from the side street <br /> lot line. <br /> VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Urono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1371. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR-1A Single Family Lakeshore <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br /> February 21, 1989 and recommended approval of the proposed variance <br /> based upon' the following findings: <br /> a. The existing residence is located entirely within th-c <br /> required front and side street setbacks, and therefore an;; <br /> additions to the existing residence require a variance. <br /> b. The plight of the landowner is due to circumstances unic—, <br /> to this property not created by the landowner. <br /> c. Granting of the variance will not alter the essent~ - <br /> character of the locality. <br /> d. • The special conditions applying to this strUct1.1 <br /> peculiar to this property. <br />
