MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> Tuesday,January 22,2002 <br /> 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br /> (#14) REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING <br /> COUNCIL MEETINGS ON NOVEMBER 26,2001,DECEMBER 10, 2001,AND <br /> JANUARY 14,2002 <br /> This item was not discussed. <br /> (#15) OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Gaffron stated the City would probably be receiving an application this week for a proposed <br /> development on the 50 acres next to City Hall. Gaffron stated they are proposing 250 units of <br /> residential ranging from twin homes to senior housing. Gaffron stated on the northwest corner of this <br /> site they are proposing some commercial,which might include an 18,000 square foot grocery store. <br /> Gaffron noted in a recent work session the Council indicated they would like to keep the retail focused <br /> more on Long Lake. Gaffron indicated some work sessions will need to be held on this development <br /> over this next couple of months, and requested the Planning Commission review the application prior to <br /> the meeting. <br /> (#16) PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR NOVEMBER 19,2001 <br /> Kluth moved,Mabusth seconded,to approve the minutes of the November 19,2001 Planning <br /> Commission meeting as submitted.
