• To complete the framing and to prevent the roof from sagging, collar <br /> ties and stringers need to be installed. <br /> During installation of the roof trusses a sma11 sag in the roof ridge <br /> may occur. If so, prop a 2x4 between the middle of the ridge and the <br /> floor, adjusting until the ridge is level, and install collar ties. Collar ties <br /> are lx4 members that nail onto the sides of the rafters, directly under <br /> the ridge boards.
