ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> MINUTES FOR JANUARY 19, 2000 <br /> • PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br /> (#14) REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING COUNCIL <br /> MEETINGS ON NOVEMBER 22, 1999 AND DECEMBER 13, 1999, AND JANUARY 10, 2000 <br /> This item was not discussed. <br /> (#15) OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Mayor Jabbour suggested City Staff discuss the applications directly with the Applicants <br /> prior to their appearance at the Planning Commission meeting to avoid any confusion <br /> regarding hardcover and structural coverage limits. Jabbour stated plastic is considered <br /> hardcover, noting that the City Council also requests that the residents remove the plastic <br /> underlayment whenever possible. <br /> Kluth commented the Planning Commission needs to have as much information as possible <br /> regarding an application in order to make an informed decision. <br /> Mayor Jabbour thanked the Planning Commission for their efforts on developing the City's <br /> stormwater management plan. <br /> Smith suggested the Planning Commission consider holding a December meeting in an <br /> effort to avoid the lengthy meetings in January and February. <br /> • (#16) PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR NOVEMBER 22, 1999 <br /> Hawn requested the taped portion of the November 22, 1999 meeting concerning the Edin <br /> application be reviewed to see if structural coverage was discussed. <br /> (#17) SELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS ON <br /> JANUARY 25, 2000 AND FEBRUARY 8, 2000 <br /> January 25- Berg February 8- Smith <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Nygard moved, Smith seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 12:36 p.m. <br /> ,44 <br /> Elizabefh Ha n, Chair <br /> • <br /> Page 33 <br />
