., ' J+ � <br /> , Y � <br /> � clt� o� oR,oNo <br /> • RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �� f NO. 2185 <br /> irl� <br /> . � � � � <br /> A RESOLIITION GRANTIP7G <br /> A VARIANC$ TO � <br /> MONICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTION 10.25, SOBDIVISION 6 (B) <br /> AND SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISION 1 & 2 <br /> FILE #1139 <br /> ••, WHER�AS, James Lear (hereinafter "the applicant") is <br /> the owner of the property located at 2525 Dunwoody Ave. within <br /> the City of Orono (hereinafter "City" ) and legally described as <br /> follows: ' <br /> Lot 9, Block 8, Townsite of Langdon Park, Hennepin <br /> County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a <br /> variance to Municipal Zoning Code Sections 10.25, Subdivision 6 <br /> (B) and 10.22, Subdivision 1 & 2 to allow the construction of a <br /> residence addition which will result in 28.57$ hardcover in the <br />� 75-250' lakeshore setback zone where only 25� hardcover is <br /> • normally allowed; and which addition when connected to the <br /> existing detached garage will result in a side setback of 6.7' <br /> where 10' side setback is normally required; and which addition <br /> will constitute a 28' encroachment into the average lakeshore <br /> setback where no encroachment is normally al lowed. <br /> NOW, TH$REFORE, BE IT ItESOLVED by the City Counci 1 of <br /> Orono, Minnesota: <br /> FINAINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1139. <br /> . 2. The property is located in the LR-1C Single Family <br /> Lakeshore Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application <br /> �•.on May 4, 1987, and recommended approval of the proposed <br /> variances based upon the following findings: <br /> a) The proposed addition will result in a 3 degree <br /> reduction in the field of view of the lake from the <br /> neighboring property. This reduction is insignificant <br /> . because that view is already blocked by dense <br /> shrubbery. <br /> � • Page 1 of 5 <br />
