r i 1� . <br /> To: Mayor Grabek & Orono Council Members <br /> City Administrator Bernhardson <br /> Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth <br /> From: Lyle Oman, Building Inspector <br /> Date: September 22 , 1989 <br /> Subject: 1949 Fagerness Point Road - Hazardous Building <br /> Proceedings <br /> Staff is requesting that the Council review the above <br /> subject property for Hazardous BuiZding Proceedings. After <br /> receiving complaints regarding the unsafe condition of the <br /> occupied building, staff conducted an inspection which revealed <br /> that the building is in a damaged and deteriorated state, is in <br /> an unsafe condition and has structural deficiencies which <br /> constitutes a define hazard. Major items of concern by staff are <br /> as follows: <br /> House - <br /> 1. Failing foundation and improper beam support. <br /> 2 . Leaking roof causing extensive water damage. <br /> 3 . Improper eZectrical wiring. <br /> 4 . Improperly installed wood stove. <br /> Gara e - <br /> 1. Garage has been damaged by fire. <br /> 2 . Rotted walls and a collapsing roof . <br /> There are four options that can be taken: <br /> l. Table proceedings. <br /> 2 . Adopt resolution as written. <br /> 3 . Adopt resolution with amendments. <br /> 4 . Deny resolution. <br /> Staff recommends adopting resolution as is and commencing <br /> with Hazardous Building Proceedings. <br />
