The proposal <br /> is to construct a timber retaining wall at the top of a 3:1 (horizontal to vertical) slope. <br /> The previously constructed embankment was constructed at a 1:1 or 1.5:1 slope and has <br /> subsequently failed. We feel that the proposed 3:1 slopes and 4 to 6 foot wall is feasible <br /> but more detailed plans will be needed. The wall will need geogrid ties or another <br /> approved support system. <br /> We do not recommend timber retaining walls as a permanent solution.
