minute with 30 feet of head to the drain field. The control panel selected should be capable of <br /> controlling both pumps with alarms. <br /> • Peat Filer—(2) Puraflo Peat Biofilter pods. Install according to manufacturer's detail. <br /> • Drain Field—Excavate the drain field trenches as depicted on Figure 2 when the soil is less than <br /> the plastic limit to prevent smearing and compacting. Installer is responsible for determining if the <br /> soil is below the plastic limit prior to excavation. Depth of excavation shall be to the elevations <br /> given on Figure 2, scarified and leveled. Place Quick4 High Capacity Infiltrator Gravelless <br /> Chambers in the trench bottom connected by gravity drop boxes. <br /> • Grading - Back fill with native soil, seed for cover, and mulch for erosion control ASAP after <br /> installation. Create positive drainage away from the septic tank and drain field, allow for soil <br /> settling. Do not allow channeled runoff over the drain field; create drainage swales along the outer <br /> edges of the drain field to prevent excess runoff on the drain field. <br /> G. Maintenance and Monitoring Requirements <br /> The owners of the system must be aware that site constraints have prompted the installation of an <br /> Other System. State and Local codes require Other Systems to have maintenance and monitoring <br /> agreements and mitigation plans to be in effect for the life of the system (see Appendix B and C for <br /> the Maintenance and Monitoring Plan, and Mitigation Plan for details). The owner will need to <br /> contract with a licensed service provider to provide the maintenance and monitoring of the system <br /> H. Limitations <br /> Our investigation, layout, design, and recommendations aze based on data submitted. If conditions <br /> considerably different from those described in this report are encountered, we must be notified. If <br /> proposed construction is changed, we must be norified to evaluate the effect of the changes on the <br /> wastewater system. Any changes to the design must be approved by the designer and will be <br /> assessed additional design costs. If changes are made to the design without the knowledge and <br /> approval of the designer the design shall be void. All construction is to be in accordance with the <br /> ISTS regulations. Pipe type and size, installation requirements, sepdc tank construction, and other <br /> specifications not depicted in our report are to conform to ISTS regulations.
