Certificate of Survey. The City Engineer has reviewed the survey and made the following comments. Please provide <br /> two copies of an updated, full size certificate of survey which meets all of the City's survey standards (enclosed) <br /> addressing the comments below. <br /> a. Top wall and bottom wall elevations, as required by the City's survey/site plan standards and are not provided for <br /> the retaining wall next to the lake(P). Walls over 4 ft must be designed by a professional engineer. <br /> b. During this review it was noted that retaining wall (N) is shown to be 7.9 ft tall and will also require an engineered <br /> design. <br /> 2. olution. The property owners need to come to City Hall and sign the resolution approving the variance for the <br /> retaining walls within 75 feet of the ordinary high water level. They should bring along a driver's license or another <br /> form of identification for our staff to notarize their signatures. Office hours during the summer are Monday — <br /> Thursday 7:30 am to 5 pm and Friday 7:30 to 11:30 am. The resolution must be signed before we will issue the <br /> building permit. <br /> 3. Escrow& Escrow Agreement. Permits involving grading and/or review by the City's engineer require submittal of an <br /> escrow and an escrow agreement. The purpose of the escrow is to guarantee reimbursement to the City for out-of- <br /> pocket costs incurred during the review of your plans. Additionally this escrow will guarantee conformance with City <br /> Code Chapter 79 relating to erosion control and stormwater. The required escrow amount for this project is $2,500, <br /> an updated escrow agreement is enclosed. The property owner must sign the updated escrow agreement and return <br /> the agreement to us. No additional escrow money is needed at this time. <br /> 4. Separate City Permits Required for: <br /> a. 2oning Permit. Prior to the commencement of � exterior/landscaping improvements, i.e. patios, grading, <br /> sidewalks, retaining walls, etc., not currently shown on the survev will require a Zoning Permit. <br /> Your project may trigger the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District's (MCWD) permitting requirements; please contact the <br /> MCWD directly at 952-471-0590 regarding your project. Please note,the City of Orono will not issue a building permit without <br /> a copy of MCWD permits or documentation from the MCWD stating the proposed project does not trigger any of their <br /> permitting requirements. The above information is required in order for the plan review to continue.
