I also issued a Stop Work Order and requested
that he install silt fence and apply for a MCWD permit. Like the City, I still haven't seen plans, permit app, etc. I haven't
been out since last week to see if he's installed silt fence, but I will swing by today. Hopefully I catch him in person,
because I don't have solid contact information for him beyond the mailing address.
Also, I understand you were looking into the work going on at 3026 Casco Pt Rd. I went out there yesterday and
observed drain tile being installed. I thought nothing of it at first, but after reviewing back at the office (and looking at
the delineation from your Casco Pt Rd Recon project) I noticed that the tile was likely located in a wetland (wetland A, in
the attached). I'll be following up with the homeowner to request removal of the drain tile.
Please give me a call if you have any questions.
Luke Schwitzer
MCWD Compliance Officer
18202 Minnetonka Blvd.
Deephaven, MN 55391
952.471.0590 x214
www.minnehahacreek.or
-'
MINNEHANA CREEK
W'ATERS►+ED DIST7iCT
From: Melanie Curtis [mailto:MCurtisCaci.orono.mn.usl
Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2010 8:45 AM
To: Luke Schwitrer
Cc: Catherine Bach
Subject: RE: erosion control
Hi Luke
Just checking in our snow-fence guy.... Were you able to speak with anyone on this? The City needs to follow up with
the owner due to lack of compliance with our notice to submit plans, etc for the illegal fill which they brought in. I
wanted to touch on the snow fencing snafu if you hadn't already.
Thanks, Melanie
1
