The plan shows <br /> the replacement of wood retaining walls with segmental concrete block walls. We have <br /> the following comments with regards to engineering matters: <br /> • It is our understanding that the existing wood retaining walls will be replaced <br /> with segmental block walls in the same approximate locations and heights. <br /> • The applicant has submitted engineered retaining wall design information that <br /> covers single block walls up to five feet and height and tiered five-foot high walls <br /> with a combined height of 10 feet. These design heights are consistent with the <br /> site. <br /> • This project will disturbs more than 10 CY of material within the shore setback <br /> zone. Sediment and erosion control information meeting the requirements of <br /> Orono's City Code 79-7(c)(1) must be submitted.
