We have
the following comments with regards to engineering matters:
• It appears that the proposed retaining walls near the east end of the driveway are approximately 4.5' in
height. Engineered design and details should be submitted for review and approval for all retaining walls
over 4' in height, and for all tiered walls with a separation of less than 2 times the wall height.
• The plan shows 2 proposed 962 contour lines converging near the north corner of the house. These 962
contour lines do not agree with the other proposed contours, or the adjacent spot elevations around the
home. The grading plan should be revised such that no contour lines converge and all inconsistencies
between the contours and spot elevations are eliminated. This may require extending the proposed
retaining wall to the northeast.
• The driveway approaches Casco Point Road at a proposed slope of 10%. The proposed slope at the base
of the driveway should be minimized to the extent possible, for a distance of at least 25'. This may
require adjusting the proposed grades near the top of the driveway.
If you have any questions, please call me at(651) 604-4894.
Yours very truly,
BONESTROO, ROSENE,ANDERLIK& ASSOCIATES, INC.
 i
Darren Amundsen
Cc: Tom Kellogg
Bonestroo recently merged w"th DSU,bringing together some of the best regional talents in engineering, architecture, planning, landscape architecture,
and urban design.
