Establishing Polling Location <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Notification of Change in Polling Place Location <br /> <br />State Statutes require that designation of a new or different polling place must become effective <br />by May 10, 2016 (no less than 90 days prior to an election) and that every affected household <br />with at least one registered voter in the precinct be mailed a notice stating the location of the new <br />polling place at least 25 days before the next election. Staff will work with Hennepin County <br />and the Secretary of State’s Office to coordinate a mailed notice to be sent in early July to the <br />affected voters. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Good Shepard Church located at 3745 Shoreline Drive be designated as <br />the polling place location for Precinct 2, and that the attached resolution establishing a changed <br />polling place location for Precinct 2 be adopted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> <br />Consider a motion to adopt the attached resolution establishing the Good Shepard Church <br />located at 3745 Shoreline Drive as a changed polling place location for Precinct 2 in the City of <br />Orono, Minnesota.
