Attachment should proceed from central portion of the wallboard toward ends and edges, <br /> power-driven with an electric screw driver, so screw heads provide a slight depression below surface <br /> of gypsum panels without breaking face paper. Where wallboard is fractured or face paper is <br /> broken, the screw must be removed and rest away from fractured area. Damaged ends or edges <br /> must be removed. Metal corner beads shall be applied to all external angles. Corner reinforcing <br /> beads shall be galvanized metal not less than 1-1/8"x 1-1/8". <br /> 6) Screws shall be 1 inch type S bugle head. <br /> 7) All wallboard shall be taped and floated in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations to <br /> render a smooth wall, ready for painting. No joints or screw heads shall show. <br /> Finish Carpentry <br /> 1) Supply and install complete finish carpentry work as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. <br /> Work includes installation of interior trim and hardware and wood flooring. <br /> 2) Verify all dimensions shown on the Drawings by taking field measurements. Proper fit and <br /> attachment of all parts is required. <br /> 3) Coordinate with all other trades as required to complete work to the satisfaction of the Architect. <br /> 4) Deliver all materials under protective cover and store within dry enclosed area. <br /> 5) The following standards apply to work of this section except where more stringent requirements are <br /> specified herein: Architectural Woodwork Institute Quality Standards, Western Wood Products <br /> Association Manual, American Wood Preserves Association Specifications. <br /> 6) Back-paint all wood surfaces inaccessible and unexposed after installation before delivery with an <br /> approved primer. Prime coat all unfinished metal parts. <br /> 7) For installation, use only hot dip galvanized or aluminum finish or casing nails. Set nails for putty <br /> stopping in surfaced members. Hammer marks not acceptable on any exposed finished surface and <br /> may be cause for rejection of work by the Architect. <br /> 8) Make all end splices exposed in finished members bevel splices and not square butted. Install <br /> members in as long lengths as possible. <br /> 9) Install work to details shown, plumb, level and to line and securely anchored. Make scribes where <br /> required accurate. Miter corners of trim. <br /> 10) Provide and install other miscellaneous millwork items and related work required to complete work of <br /> this section. <br /> 11) Prepare all woodwork installed hereunder by cleaning and sanding as required to receive finishes <br /> specified in Painting Section. <br /> 12) Hardwood floor as approved by Owner laid perpendicular to decking over red rosin paper, over <br /> existing sub-floor or 3/4"T&G plywood sheathing. <br /> 13) All interior trim to be Birch or Maple. Size per Drawings. <br /> 14) All adjustable closet shelving to be 3/4" particleboard with hardwood edge. <br /> 129 N.
