� Project 64030-001 <br /> Wetland Delineation <br /> October 2003 <br />' --.-�--��..--�::_�-�___-__e��:..:.� __����_-.;�-�-ew�.�-�_w..�:mv�e��-�e-:-�..-�-r:�d--�.�r <br />' Vegetation <br /> Observed vegetation along the wetland boundary consisted of <br />' primarily of reed canary grass Phalaris arundinacea, a facultative <br /> wetland (+) plant and ground ivy Glecoma hederacea, a facultative <br /> upland plant. <br />' Vegetation inside the wetland boundary consists of reed canary <br /> grass, jewelweed Impatiens capensis, a facultative wetland plant and <br />' American elm Ulmus Americana, a facultative wetland (-) plant. <br /> Upland vegetation consisted of Kentucky bluegrass Poa pratensis, a <br />' facultative (-) plant; common plantain Plantago major, a facultative <br /> (+) plant; and dandelion Taraxacum officinale, a facultative upland <br /> plant. <br />, Soils <br />' The USDA Soil Survey of Hennepin County classifies the soils on the <br /> property to be a combination of Hamel loam and Glencoe loam. <br />' Both soil types are found on the Hydric Soils List for Hennepin <br /> County. <br />, Wetland soils were field identified as peat from 0 to 3 inches. From 3 <br /> to 8 inches was a black (10 YR 2/0) A horizon of sandy clay loam <br /> with reddish yellow (7.5 YR 6/8) mottles. An E horizon of very dark <br /> ' gray (3/N) sandy clay was identified from 8 to 12+ inches. <br /> Hydrology <br /> ' No saturation was found in the wetland, boundary or upland soil pits. <br /> Primary and secondary indicators of drainage patterns, local soil <br /> ' survey data and FAC-Neutral test were used as indicators of wetland <br /> hydrology. <br /> ' Wetland Conservation Act <br /> The site lies within the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District boundaries. <br /> , According to the Wetland Conservation Act of 1996, wetlands on this site come <br /> under the jurisdiction of the Board of Water and Soil Resources.
