Public Works has worked with both <br />companies in the past and both have done quality work. After receiving bids from each it was <br />determined that Aspen Equipment offered the best cost and equipment for our application. <br /> <br />5. Recommendation. The Public Works Department recommends accepting the bid from <br />Boyer truck for the amount of $88,632.00 to replace the 1997 Ford L8000 with a 2017 Western <br />Star 4700SF. Public Works also recommends accepting the bid from Aspen Equipment for the <br />amount of $100,397.00 to install the Box, Spreader, Plows, and all related controls and lighting. <br />The total cost of the fully completed truck is $189,209.00 using state bid contract pricing. The <br />1997 Ford L8000 will be either traded or auctioned off for no less than $15,000 to help offset <br />costs. <br /> <br />6. Funding.
