Phase I Ena�ironmental Site Assessment September 2, 2009 <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPT'ION <br /> 2.1 Location and Site Description <br /> The Properry included in this investigation is approximately 9.97 acres in size and is located at 445 <br /> Brown Road South in Orono, Minnesota. The Properry is located northwest of the intersection of Fox <br /> Street and Brown Road South and is located in the southeast i/a of the northwest i/a of Section 3, <br /> Tov��nship 117 North, Range 23 West on the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Excelsior 75- <br /> minute topographic quadrangle. The topography of the Site is depicted on a map generated by <br /> Environmental Data Resources (EDR) (Appendix A) and on a Site Location Map included as Figure 1. <br /> General locations of Site features observed during the site reconnaissance are provided on Figure 2. <br /> 2.2 Structures, Roads and Other Improvements <br /> 2.2.1 Structures and Roads <br /> The Property is developed with a residential home and four surrounding out buildings. At the time of <br /> the site reconnaissance, the Properry w�as vacant and there ��as no access to the structures. The <br /> structures include a house, a garage, two animal barns and a chicken coop. Access to the Properry is <br /> off of Brown Road South on the east side of the Properry. In addition, a road/path runs across the <br /> Property from east to west. <br /> 2.2.2 Drinking Water Supply <br /> A revie�� of inforniation obtained from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), Counry Well <br /> Index (CWI) indicated that a registered well (Unique ID# 100240) is located on the Property. At the <br /> time of the sire reconnaissance, a well was observed on the east side of the house. <br /> 2.2.3 Sewer Services <br /> At the time of the site reconnaissance evidence of a septic system w�as observed on the north side of the <br /> residential home which is situated on the east side of the Properry. <br /> 2.2.4 Adjacent Land Use <br /> North: Wetlands and residential; <br /> South: Residential Home,Aaricultural and Fox Street; <br /> West: Agricultural, residential and Willow Drive South; <br /> East: Brown Road South, residential and Orono Orchards Road South. <br /> Carlson Professional Sera,�ices, Inc.
