A Land Disposal Site
Investigation Report dated June 17, 1968 provided information regarding the site dump. It states that
the site was put into operation in 1958 and is approximately 10 acres. The general character of the
operation at the site was unsightly, blowing paper was controlled and not a nuisance, uncontrolled
burning was noted, no surface drainage problems are noted and leaching problems exist. It states
that quantities of solid wastes received at the site annually are 13,000 yds3. The general
classification of solid wastes is listed as household. It states that items that are not accepted at the
site include dead animals, waste oil, sewage solids, junked automobiles, large appliances, demolition
wastes, construction debris, street sweepings, tires and hazardous materials. The report states that
the average depth of fill possible is 15'. A comment is stated: a small open burning dump, covered
after burning, used only by the owner for his collection from households.
A Disposal Site Closure Record dated December 30, 1970 states that burning was stopped on
October 1970 and rats were eradicated, water pollution eorrected, aecess is prohibited, site has been
compacted and covered with a minimum of two feet of earthen fill. It states that final grades and
proper surface drainage were not completed. In addition, it states that refuse is now being taken to
Boyers facility.
Carlson Professional Sera, ices, Inc. Page 11
