The railroad located 03 miles north appears to have been redeveloped into the <br /> Luce Line Trail. A road has been developed 1/z mile east of the Property. <br /> 4.5 City Directory Abstracts <br /> As part of the historical data revieu�, Carlson requested that HIG conduct a search for historic city <br /> directory abstracts of the area. Directories including ciry, cross-reference and telephone directories <br /> were reviewed. The following Ciry Directory(s) ��ere located and provided for the streets and years <br /> listed: <br /> Cole's Minneapolis Directories (1977-2007), Brov��n Road South/CR 146 (1977-2007) and Fox Street <br /> (1982-2007). <br /> Brown Road South: The Properry was listed on the directory in 1982 (Eric H. Smith-residence), 1987 <br /> and 1992 (Eric H. Smith and Slieila M. Smith), 1997 (Ivanette Smith), 2002 (Ivanette Sinith and <br /> Sheila Smith). The Properry ��as not listed on die 1977 and 2007 directory. Surrounding properties <br /> are listed as residential. <br /> Fox Street: The Properry w�as not listed and the surrounding properties are mainly residential. <br /> Copies of the City Directory abstracts have been included in Appendi�c F. <br /> 4.6 File Review <br /> MPCA File Review <br /> Carlson reviewed available files at the MPCA on August 5, 2009. A Land Disposal Site <br /> Investigation Report dated June 17, 1968 provided information regarding the site dump. It states that <br /> the site was put into operation in 1958 and is approximately 10 acres. The general character of the <br /> operation at the site was unsightly, blowing paper was controlled and not a nuisance, uncontrolled <br /> burning was noted, no surface drainage problems are noted and leaching problems exist. It states <br /> that quantities of solid wastes received at the site annually are 13,000 yds3. The general <br /> classification of solid wastes is listed as household. It states that items that are not accepted at the <br /> site include dead animals, waste oil, sewage solids,junked automobiles, large appliances, demolition <br /> wastes, construction debris, street sweepings, tires and hazardous materials. The report states that <br /> the average depth of fill possible is 15'. A comment is stated: a small open burning dump, covered <br /> after burning, used only by the owner for his collection from households. <br /> A Disposal Site Closure Record dated December 30, 1970 states that burning was stopped on <br /> October 1970 and rats were eradicated, water pollution eorrected, aecess is prohibited, site has been <br /> compacted and covered with a minimum of two feet of earthen fill. It states that final grades and <br /> proper surface drainage were not completed.
