08050 Doors and Frames <br /> A. Provide metal and wood doors and frames as shown on the Drawings and specified herein: <br /> 1. Portion of work of this Section is by allowance — do not include material cost for pair of main entrance <br /> custom wood doors in the Base Bid. <br /> B. Provision of manufactured clad wood doors and frames is work of Section 08550 CLAD WOOD WINDOWS, <br /> DOORS AND FRAMES <br /> C. Installation of doors and frames is work of Sections 06211 Exterior Finish Carpentry Labor and 06221 Interior <br /> Finish Carpentry Labor. <br /> D. Door and Frame Materials: <br /> 1. Main Entrance: <br /> a. Frame, Sidelights and Transom: Provided under Section 08550 CLAD WOOD WINDOWS, DOOR <br /> AND FRAMES <br /> b. Doors: 1-3/4 inch x 7'-0"; custom wood doors; as selected by the Architect <br /> c. Storm Doors: Full view; clad wood; as selected by the Architect. <br /> 2. Garage Entrance, two (2) thus: <br /> a. Frames: Wood; clad with aluminum to match window frames <br /> b. Doors: 1-3/4 inch x 7'-0"; flush; steel; insulated; as selected by the Architect. <br /> 3. Typicallnterior: <br /> a. Frames: Select white maple, plain-sliced <br /> b. Doors: 1-3/4 inch; flush; solid particleboard core; select white maple, plain-sliced face and edge <br /> veneers: <br /> — 8'-0" at Main Level <br /> — 7'-0" at Lower and Upper Levels <br /> c. Use only hardwood and hardwood veneers free of dark pitch pockets — verify exact grading and <br /> appearance tolerances with the Architect. <br /> 4. Between Garage and Mudroom: <br /> a. Frame: Verify <br /> b. Door: 1-3/4 inch x 8'-0"; flush; steel; insulated; fire-rated; self-closing. <br /> 5. Hardware: <br /> a. Butt Hinges: Plain bearing; min. 4-1/2"x 4-1/2"; three (3) per 7'-0" door; four(4) per 8'-0" door; bright <br /> chromium plated (verify with the Architect): <br /> — Solid brass at exterior doors, garage door, and doors to bathrooms and other high humidity <br /> locations <br /> — Steel at remainder <br /> b.
