Provide materials for, and accomplish repairs, additions and alterations to the existing water well as may be <br /> required for a complete, operational, potable, sand- and aggregate-free, domestic water source for the <br /> proposed residence: <br /> 1. Provide and install all components as may be required for a complete, operational water well system. <br /> B. Design Requirements: Completed system shall accommodate: <br /> 1. Anticipated water supply flow requirements for the proposed residence and accessory building and their <br /> intended occupancy/use. <br /> 2. Landscape irrigation system of limited scope at and around the proposed residence, accessory building <br /> and adjacent lawn and landscaped areas. <br /> C. Well Materials: <br /> 1. Pressure Tank: Bladder style, sized in accordance with design requirements. <br /> 2. Water Line from Well to Pressure Tank: 1-1/4 inch Type "K" copper. <br /> 3. Pump: Submersible turbine pump with high torque motor; in accordance with Minnesota Well Code;three <br /> (3) wire, 230V, overload protection; solid state starting switch; NEMA standard for universal motor <br /> replacement. <br /> 4. Drop Pipe: ASTM A5-906, Schedule 40, galvanized steel. <br /> 5. Wiring: Submersible; of gauge required for load and distance. <br /> D. Install pressure tank as shown on the Drawings or as directed by the Architect. <br /> E. Install copper water line from well to pressure tank with methods and coverage in accordance with Minnesota <br /> Well Code. <br /> F. Install and test submersible pump. <br /> G. Provide electrical wiring installation as may be required for a complete installation, in accordance with NEC <br /> and state and local codes: <br /> 1. Include rigid conduit extending from electrical entrance on well head to electrical panel within building. <br /> 2. Ground submersible pump and well casing to electrical panel. <br /> H. Install drop pipe of adequate length so that submersible pump is sufficiently below draw-down level of well for <br /> pump capacity and minimum five feet (5'-0") above well screen. <br /> 1. Upon completion, disinfection, and flushing of well, collect bacteriological sample and submit to approved <br /> Testing Agency for analysis.
