06410 Custom Casework and Woodwork <br /> A. Provide materials for, and fabricate, finish and install all custom casework, woodwork and related materials as <br /> shown on the Drawings and specified herein: <br /> 1. Work of this Section is by allowance — materials and casework/woodwork schedule specified herein are <br /> for bidding purposes only. <br /> B. Materials: <br /> 1. Hardwood Lumber and Veneers: AWI Premium Grade, or better: <br /> a. Select white maple, plain-sliced solid lumber and veneers <br /> b. Use only materials free of dark pitch pockets— verify exact grading and appearance tolerances with <br /> the Architect. <br /> 2. Fiberboard: Medium density, unless otherwise shown on the Drawings or specified herein. <br /> 3. Melamine: Cabinet interiors; verify color with the Architect. <br /> 4. Adhesives: Highly water resistant, resin type. <br /> 5. Casework Hardware: <br /> a. Door Hinge:...............Concealed; minimum 120° opening; Grass, Blum, or equal <br /> b. Drawer Slides:........... Full extension; Accuride or equal <br /> c. Door/Drawer Pulls: .... By allowance. <br /> 6. Glazing: Provide all glass at casework shown on the Drawings. <br /> C. Fabricate and install casework and woodwork in accordance with AWI Premium Grade: <br /> 1. Details conforming to AWI Flush Overlay/Frameless Design; 32 mm; and as shown on the Drawings. <br /> B. Unless otherwise shown on the Drawings, all interior and exterior exposed surfaces shall be hardwood or <br /> hardwood veneer. <br /> C. Unless otherwise shown on the Drawings, fabricate upper cabinets with fascia and recessed bottom to <br /> receive over-counter lighting. <br /> D. Shop-finish all hardwood and hardwood veneers prior to shipment to the Project site: <br /> 1. Finish System: AWI Finish System #TR-2 Catalyzed Lacquer. <br /> 2. AWI Premium Grade. <br /> 3. Dye or stain to match sample provided by the Architect. <br /> E. Set, fill and finish all field-applied fasteners to match shop finish. <br /> F.
