04400 Stone <br /> A. Provide and install exterior and interior rough and cut stone as shown on the Drawings and specified herein: <br /> 1. Including, but not limited to: <br /> a. E�erior and interior rough stone veneer <br /> b. Exterior cut stone caps and copings <br /> c. Interior cut stone fireplace hearth. <br /> 2. Provision of stone materials is by allowance— materials specified herein are for bidding purposes only. <br /> B. Masonry Materials: <br /> 1. Rough Stone Veneer: <br /> a. Option No. 1: Split fieldstone (five inch+/- bed depth); ranging in size from 5 - 15 inch face; in full <br /> range of greys, reds, beiges and blacks. Provide wedges and chips of minimum 5 square inches to <br /> void large areas of mortar <br /> b. Option No. 2: "Rustic Cream Split" limestone (five inch+/- bed depth) <br /> c. Option No. 3: "Fond du Lac" limestone (five inch+/- bed depth). <br /> 2. Cut Stone: Bedford limestone; buff color; 2-1/4 inch face at exterior sills, caps and copings; honed finish. <br /> 3. Mortar: Type N, or as recommended by the stone supplier. <br /> 4. Wall Ties: Corrugated metal ties; minimum 7/8 inch wide; 22 ga.; seven inches (7") long, or longer if <br /> required for Project conditions. <br /> 5. Grout: Minimum 3,000 psi concrete. <br /> 6. Steel Lintels: ASTM A 36; structural steel; shapes and sizes shown on the Drawings. <br /> 7. Flashing: Plastic; minimum 30 mils thick; membrane flashing: <br /> a. Adhesive/Mastic: ASTM D 4586; bituminous; plastic; cold-setting cement as recommended and <br /> manufactured by the plastic flashing manufacturer <br /> b. Wicks: Fiberglass or other inorganic; rope-type; minimum 12 inches long. <br /> C. Provide and install loose steel lintels required for support of masonry above openings. <br /> D.
