Larson stated where they fall <br /> in that planning depends on when the facility is opened. <br /> Barnhart stated it could be a consecutive three-month period and that he can incorporate it in Staff's <br /> memo for the Council. <br /> Lemke stated when they board their dog, they always check to see if there is an overnight person, and that <br /> their customers might prefer a facility that offers that. <br /> Michael Larson stated 24/7 staff is becoming more common, and that if they become successful, it will <br /> become a nonissue. <br /> Landgraver asked if the police department would have a 24-hour contact number in the event there are <br /> any issues. <br /> Larson stated they can post that on the building. <br /> Landgraver noted the applicants have relocated the entrance to address the traffic concerns, added a <br /> second play area away from the residential homes, will be making improvements to the exterior and <br /> interior of the building, will be placing limits on the outdoar relief times, and are agreeable to the <br /> threshold on the overnight staffing. <br /> McGrann moved, Schoenzeit seconded,to recommend approval of Application No. 15-3780, <br /> Michael and Lisa Larson,3596 Shoreline Drive, granting of a conditional use permit per the <br /> conditions of Staff,with the recommendation that language be incorporated into Council approval <br /> regarding a three-month rolling 50 percent occupancy rate triggering the need for an overnight <br /> staff person, and to post contact information for after-hour phone calls. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> Page 8 of 44 <br />
