MINUTES OF THE ' <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday,June 15,2015 <br /> 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> Mark Anderson stated he is here to answer questions. <br /> Leskinen asked how long the project is expected to take. <br /> Anderson stated it should be less than 30 days. The official permit was filed to fix the erosion on the <br /> backside of the barn. Anderson indicated they purchased the property in 2013, and in both the years 2013 <br /> and 2014, they lost their crop due to flooding. Anderson stated since then,they discovered the drain tile <br /> was inoperable, and as a result,the drain tile has been repaired, which corrected the drainage. <br /> Thiesse asked where he is planning to obtain the material. <br /> Anderson stated some of the fill will likely be coming from the construction on Watertown Road. <br /> Thiesse asked whether the fill currently on the site came from one spot. <br /> Anderson stated it did. <br /> Lemke asked if he has any problem with Staff s recommendations. <br /> Anderson stated the hours of operation are banker hours and that this is a farm, but that they will do as <br /> required by the City. <br /> Chair Leskinen opened the public hearing at 7:58 p.m. <br /> Richard Schmidt, 3980 Watertown Road, stated he is disappointed to find out that they are looking at <br /> hundreds more dump trucks coming into the site and that last year it was thousands of dump trucks all <br /> summer long. Schmidt stated the impact to his property last summer was largely due to the truck traffic <br /> all day and that oftentimes it was on the weekends until the City got after the applicant. <br /> Schmidt stated he mostly is disappointed with the fact that the project went on for so long. Schmidt <br /> stated the meeting tonight would not have had to happen if the City had looked at this project earlier on <br /> Page 18 of 79 <br />
