Letter <br /> <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to complete Engineering and Design for <br />the MSA section of Fox Street. <br /> <br />2. Background. On September 28, 2015 the Council directed the City’s consulting engineering firm, <br />Bolton and Menk to provide a fee estimate for the MSA section of Fox Street. The council’s intent was to <br />be able to compare and determine sequencing of MSA reconstruction projects, in particular Watertown <br />Road Phase 2 and the MSA section of Fox Street while constrained by a limited MSA fund balance. <br /> <br />3. Scope of Work. The engineering work includes surveying, wetland delineation, project development, <br />design and bidding for improvements to Fox Street between Willow Drive and Brown Road. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The cost of the engineering work is not to exceed $53,100. <br /> <br />5. Funding. The work may be funded from the MSA fund. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Move to approve the Bolton and Menk’s project development proposal for a fee not to exceed $53,100.
