O O <br /> �b. - C ITY of ORONO <br /> � � <br /> ���; �G'�' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> . �kEsI�04 NO. � � � o� <br /> A RESOLUTION �ACATING <br /> AN UNIMPROVED POR�ION OF <br /> NAVARRE LANE IN TIiE CITS� OF OAONO, <br /> HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> FILES NO. 2107 & 2126 � <br /> • WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and <br /> existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 26, 1996 John O'Sullivan and Erwin Smith, <br /> (hereinafter "the applicants"), filed a petition with the City of Orono requesting the vacation <br /> of a portion of a public right-of-way known as Navarre Lane located within Hennepin <br /> County, Minnesota, and legally described as follows: <br /> • That part of Tract A, REGISTERED LAND SURVEY NO 1433, described as <br /> follows: <br /> Beginning at the most northerly corner of said Tract A; thence southeasterly along <br /> the northeasterly line of said Tract A, 33.08 feet, to the intersection with a line <br /> 33.00 feet southeasterly of and parallel with the northwesterly line of said Tract A; <br /> thence southwesterly and parallel with the northwesterly line of said Tract A, 279.64 <br /> feet; thence northwesterly to a point on the northwesterly line of said Tract A, <br /> 253.03 feet southwesterly of the most northerly comer of said Tract A; thence <br /> northeasterly along the northwesterly line of said Tract A, 253.03 feet to the point <br /> of beginning, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published and posted notice a public hearing was held <br /> by the City's Planning Commission on February 20, 1996 regarding the proposed vacations <br /> and all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard; and <br /> ��VHERE�iS, after due standing and consideration, the Planning Commission <br /> recommended unanimous approval of the proposed vacation; and <br /> VV�iEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono finds that said vacation <br /> as proposed is in keeping with the public interest and in consideration of the following � <br /> • findings: <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
